About Fat Pad Restoration
What is Leneva?
Leneva, the first of its kind, fat graft that restores the cushioning where it is needed. Bembynista will use a cold spray to numb the skin around the injection to minimize any pain from the treatment. Leneva is a fat graft that works to build fat tissue back over the course of twelve weeks. It provides new cushion to reduce the pressure for such conditions as loss of fat on the ball of foot, corns, calluses, and other painful pressure points. Leneva can last for a minimum of 12 months or greater. Once Leneva is injected your body produces new fat cells using the scaffolding effect from the injection. Leneva rebuilds and repairs the damaged fat cells to produce cushioning.
To find out if this treatment is right for you, the first thing would be to make an appointment with Dr. Bembynista in order to evaluate your condition. If Leneva would benefit you, we would obtain x-rays and perform an ultrasound exam to locate the exact area where fat pad atrophy is occurring. Leneva is then injected where atrophy is determined. The injections are relatively painless.
After treatment, light padding is used to protect the area for approximately along with reduced activities for about a week.
Leneva is not covered by insurance; the cost Is $800.00 per injection. If x-rays or a special shoe are necessary there is an additional cost. Patients can normally use their HSA card.
