    Why Our Orthotics?

Our orthotics are meticulously hand-made using advanced technology to ensure the best fit and support. We start with a 3D scan of your non-weight-bearing foot, capturing every detail for a precise fit. This scan is sent to start production. Dr. Bembynista personally examines your feet to determine the optimal design and type of orthotic needed.

Our orthotics are crafted locally, allowing for personalized attention to any special requirements you may have. This close collaboration with our local manufacturers ensures that any adjustments can be made quickly and accurately, providing you with custom orthothics in just one week.

These orthotics are tailored to address various conditions, including heel pain, plantar fasciitis, weak, painful ankles, and shin splints. By providing superior support and alignment, our orthotics help stabilize the ankle joint, reduce the risk of injury, and alleviate pain. They correct abnormal foot mechanics, redistribute pressure, and improve overall foot function, enhancing your comfort and performance in daily activities and sports. Because they correct abnormal foot function, they can also reduce and help pain in the knee and back.

    Heel pain/Plantar Fasciitis

3D-Custom-made Orthotics play a crucial role in alleviating heel pain and plantar fasciitis by providing targeted support and cushioning to the feet. Plantar fasciitis is characterized by inflammation of the plantar fascia ligament insertion into the heel bone. This causes pain, particularly in the morning, after sitting or driving. Custom orthotics are designed to redistribute pressure evenly across the feet, reducing the strain on the plantar fascia. The fascia is attached to approx. 10 areas in the front of the foot and only one in the heel area, this attachment can cause a heel spur to develop.

The custom orthotics are made from a 3-D scan non-weight bearing, which captures the highest arch with no tension on the fascia, which supports the arch and cushions the heel provided by orthotics absorb shock and prevent excessive stretching of the plantar fascia from the heel, reducing both arch and heel pain. This not only alleviates current pain but also helps prevent future flare-ups. The orthotic is flexible, custom-made for your foot locally, and ready in 7 days.

Moreover, orthotics can help correct underlying biomechanical issues contributing to heel pain, such as abnormal walking patterns. This comprehensive support and alignment reduce overall foot fatigue and discomfort. For many sufferers, incorporating orthotics into their daily footwear regimen results in significant pain relief and improved foot function, enhancing their quality of life and enabling more active lifestyles. 3D custom-made orthotics are successful in treating heel and plantar fasciitis pain in 98% of cases.

    Weak Ankles/Shin Splints/Ankle Valgus

3-D custom-made orthotics can help reduce pain and increase activities for patients suffering from weak ankles, ankle valgus, which causes pain in the ankle joint, and leg pain like shin splints. The ankle valgus condition can make your knees and back hurt because one foot is flatter than the other. These custom orthotics provide enhanced support and stabilization, which are crucial for weak ankles to prevent rolling or twisting injuries. Correcting alignment issues helps correct foot and ankle alignment, alleviating the excessive stress from abnormal ankle function. This realignment reduces stress on the ankle joint and distributes weight evenly across the lower extremities, minimizing foot and leg pain.

A custom fit of 3D custom-made orthotics ensures optimal support and correction tailored to the unique structure of the wearer’s feet. This precise fit minimizes pressure points and provides cushioning, enhancing comfort and compliance. Consistent use of these orthotics prevents further injury by providing the necessary support and alignment, which is crucial for those prone to ankle instability. By improving overall biomechanics and preventing compensatory issues, 3-D custom-made orthotics lead to more efficient movement and a significant reduction in pain, offering a comprehensive solution to enhance the quality of life for individuals with these conditions. They are handmade locally and are ready in one week. Call KC Foot Care today – your Custom Orthothics Kansas City Specialists

    Knee & Lower Back Pain

3-D custom-made orthotics can help reduce knee and back pain by addressing the root causes of biomechanical imbalances. These orthotics are designed to provide personalized support and alignment for the feet, which affects the entire kinetic chain of the body. For individuals with knee pain, 3-D custom orthotics can correct issues such as overpronation or supination, which can place undue stress on the knees. By ensuring that the feet are properly aligned, these orthotics help to distribute weight more evenly across the lower extremities, reducing the strain on the knee joints both on the inside and outside of the knee joint. This can lead to significant pain relief and improved function for those suffering from conditions like patellofemoral pain syndrome or osteoarthritis.

In terms of back pain, 3-D custom orthotics are equally beneficial. Poor foot alignment and mechanics can lead to improper posture and gait, contributing to back pain. Custom orthotics help improve posture and reduce compensatory movements that can cause back pain by providing the necessary support and correcting foot alignment. For example, if one foot overpronates, like a weak ankle called ankle valgus, it can cause the pelvis to tilt and the spine to become misaligned, leading to discomfort and pain in the lower back. Custom orthotics address these issues by promoting a more neutral and balanced posture, alleviating back pain.

Overall, 3-D custom orthotics offer a comprehensive solution for knee and back pain by targeting the underlying biomechanical issues. Their ability to provide tailored support and alignment helps reduce knee and spine stress, leading to significant pain relief and improved quality of life. The foot is 3-D scanned and your custom orthotic is ready in one week.

I'm was a Special Forces Medic in the Army. I have been running, carrying heavy rucksacks, and lifting most of my life. I developed plantar fasciitis while on active duty and have struggled with it for years. The army made inserts for me; they didn't help. I tried the most expensive over the counter insoles I could find and they felt nice in my shoes, but that's about it. Insoles, physical therapy, nothing helped. A few years ago I was resigned to the fact I would fight the condition the rest of my life, but I went to see Dr. Bembynista anyway. It was immediately apparent his knowledge of the disease process was superior to anyone I had seen previously. The method by which he designs and makes orthotics was completely different than I had experience before. The results of Dr. Bembynista's course of treatment far exceed any previous treatment I received. In my opinion, going straight to see him, if you have a foot pain, will give you the best chance to reduce or eliminate that pain.

Writing this review from the wife's point of view...my husband had given up on finding any relief for his foot pain. He had been to multiple podiatrists with no relief found. I told him he couldn't give up that there had to be someone out there who could fix his feet or at least lessen the pain. I searched online reading reviews for days until I kept running across Dr. Bembynista and decided to make the appointment for my husband. Dr. Bembynista has been a miracle worker. Injections, trimming and orthotics later he feels 100% better. He can now walk without pain and enjoying life more. Mike says....HE LISTENS!!! Recommend to every one who needs relief!! He is THE BEST!!!
